Product Name: Electric/Manual Sliding Cold Room Door

Updated:2026-08-14

Product Details

An electric/manual sliding cold room door is a large cold room door that slides left and right along tracks. It opens without occupying aisle space, making it ideal for scenarios with frequent forklift traffic. Considering your previous interest in fruit cold rooms and chemical explosion-proof warehouses, these two types of doors cater to different usage needs:

Manual Sliding Cold Room Door

This is the cost-effective choice for small cold rooms, emphasizing economy and durability.

• Core advantages: Simple structure and extremely low failure rate. Routine maintenance only requires periodic lubrication of the rollers and tracks, resulting in low long-term maintenance costs.

• Applicable scenarios: Suitable for small fresh-keeping or freezing rooms with up to 30 openings per day, primarily for personnel on foot or small trolley access.

Market reference: For standard-size color steel or stainless steel door panels, the equipment price is approximately RMB 3,000–4,000 per unit.

Electric Sliding Cold Room Door

This is the mainstay for medium to large cold rooms, emphasizing high efficiency and labor savings.

• Core advantages: Motor-driven, with radar sensors or remote controls, allowing forklifts to enter and exit seamlessly, significantly reducing worker labor intensity.

Applicable scenarios: Suitable for logistics centers, food processing plants, or large cold rooms with high-frequency usage (more than 30 times per day).

• Market reference: Standard configuration equipment prices range from RMB 6,500–8,000 per unit. For large double-leaf or controlled-atmosphere models, the budget increases to RMB 15,000–30,000.

Installation Recommendations and Pitfall Avoidance Guide

When installing cold room doors in your area, focus on the following three key points:

• Dimensions and Sealing: The door opening should be 10–20mm larger than the door frame to allow for fine adjustments. Gaps between the door frame and the wall must be filled with polyurethane foam, and a low-temperature-resistant sealant should be applied on the outer layer to prevent cold air leakage and ice formation.

Low-Temperature Anti-Freezing: In winter, when temperatures are low and the cold room temperature is below 18°C, heating wires or heating tapes must be installed on the door frame to prevent the door from freezing and failing to close.

• Configuration Matching: Manual doors are suitable for small cold rooms with limited budgets; electric doors, though more expensive, significantly improve turnover efficiency in large cold rooms. For chemical explosion-proof scenarios, ensure that the motor and electrical control box are explosion-proof models.
