As a core facility with high technical requirements in cold chain logistics, the installation of a blast freezer is a rigorous and highly professional systematic project. To ensure the chamber reaches and maintains extremely low temperatures, the installation process typically includes the following key stages:

I. Preliminary Survey and Solution Design
The first step of installation is on-site inspection and in-depth communication. Engineers need to clarify the environmental conditions of the site (such as cleanliness, dryness, and ventilation), power and water supply configurations, as well as the customer's type of goods to be stored, expected storage capacity, and blast freezing temperature requirements (e.g., -30°C to -40°C). Based on this data, a professional heat load calculation is performed to precisely select the refrigeration unit, condenser, evaporator, and insulation thickness, and to draw detailed construction drawings.
II. Foundation Construction and Chamber Assembly
The floor of a blast freezer must withstand low temperatures, making foundation construction critical. Typically, a reinforced concrete base is poured, followed by the installation of high-density polyurethane insulation and a moisture barrier. If necessary, a floor heating system is also configured to prevent frost heave and cracking. The chamber assembly follows the principle of "bottom first, then top; interior first, then exterior," using high-density polyurethane sandwich panels connected with eccentric hooks and supplemented with specialized sealant to ensure tight joints and eliminate "cold bridge" phenomena.
III. Refrigeration System and Piping Installation
This is the "heart" of the blast freezer. First, the high-power refrigeration unit is installed on a well-ventilated outdoor base with vibration-damping pads. Then, dedicated blast freezer air coolers with high cooling capacity and high air velocity are installed inside the chamber. Next, deoxidized copper tubes or seamless steel pipes are used to weld-connect the unit, air coolers, and valves. All piping must undergo strict purging and pressure-holding leak tests. After confirming no leaks, the piping is thoroughly insulated.

IV. Electrical Control System and Drainage Installation
The electrical section requires a dedicated explosion-proof distribution box and an intelligent PLC temperature control system to ensure precise control of chamber temperature, fans, defrosting, and other equipment. Lighting inside the chamber must use specialized LED fixtures that are resistant to low temperatures and moisture. Additionally, since the blast freezing process generates a large amount of condensate, the drainage lines must be set up separately and equipped with U-shaped traps to block cold bridges, ensuring smooth drainage without loss of cooling capacity.
V. System Commissioning and Delivery Acceptance
After all hardware installation is complete, the refrigeration system must be evacuated and charged with refrigerant according to standards. Subsequently, the equipment is started for no-load and full-load commissioning to check whether compressor current, system pressure, and cooling rate meet the requirements. After confirming all parameters are normal, the chamber is cleaned, and operators receive technical training on equipment usage and routine maintenance. An acceptance report is signed, and the unit is handed over for use.
