Senbin Holding (Hubei) Co., Ltd. provides complete engineering solutions from design to civil construction and installation. Whether it's a 15-square-meter small fresh-keeping warehouse or a large pharmaceutical or logistics quick-freezing warehouse, we have extensive construction experience. Our team will provide detailed answers on cost per cubic meter and per square meter, helping you easily grasp construction costs.

Cold storage construction is a highly specialized systematic project whose success directly determines subsequent operational efficiency and product quality. From preliminary planning to final delivery, every stage requires rigorous scientific design and meticulous construction techniques.
The primary task in cold storage construction is to clarify requirements and select a scientific site. The owner must accurately assess the types of goods to be stored, storage volume, and turnover cycle, as different goods (such as tropical and temperate fruits) have significantly different temperature requirements. Regarding site selection, the cold storage should be built in a well-ventilated location, away from heat sources, with a flat and solid ground. Meanwhile, stable water and power supply must be ensured, as refrigeration units operate 24 hours a day; voltage fluctuations or water pipe leaks can pose serious hazards. In capacity planning, in addition to calculating the base volume based on goods weight and stacking density, an additional 10%-15% of space should be reserved for daily operations and equipment maintenance.
In the design of the main structure and insulation system, the insulation of the storage body acts as the "thermal coat" of the cold storage, directly affecting electricity consumption. Currently, polyurethane or polystyrene color steel panels are mainstream; the former offers superior thermal insulation and is suitable for long-term storage. The storage structure comes in two types: civil construction and prefabricated assembly. Prefabricated warehouses are quick to install and suitable for small to medium-sized needs. Additionally, attention to detail is crucial: doors must be equipped with sealing strips and bumper strips to prevent cold air leakage; the floor needs a moisture-proof vapor barrier and concrete base to prevent condensation and dampness; for large low-temperature warehouses, professional anti-frost-heave treatment of the foundation is also required.
The refrigeration system and electrical control are the "heart" and "brain" of the cold storage. Refrigeration units are divided into air-cooled and water-cooled types; small warehouses often use air-cooled units for easy installation, while large warehouses tend to prefer water-cooled units for higher efficiency. The evaporator can be selected as air coolers or pipe coils based on the frequency of goods in and out. In terms of temperature and humidity control, modern cold storages require internal temperature fluctuations not exceeding ±1°C to prevent goods from being damaged by sudden temperature changes. The electrical system must be equipped with intelligent temperature controllers, explosion-proof LED lights, emergency stop buttons, alarm systems, and other facilities to ensure foolproof operation.
During the construction and commissioning phase, standardized installation techniques are the guarantee of quality. The insulation panels must be aligned and locked tightly, and all joints must be sealed with sealant. The welding of refrigeration pipes must be strong and leak-free, followed by strict air-tightness tests and blow-down. After the system installation is complete, vacuuming and refrigerant charging are required. In the subsequent commissioning and operation phase, a comprehensive check of the power supply and compressor status, setting of temperature control parameters, and full-load trial operation must be conducted to ensure all indicators meet design requirements.

Cold storage construction is not a one-time effort; subsequent operation and maintenance management are equally critical. Enterprises need to establish a strict daily inspection system, regularly monitor temperature and humidity, clean condenser dust, defrost in a timely manner, and standardize the placement of goods (e.g., leaving gaps from walls and the floor) to ensure smooth cold air circulation. Only by combining high-standard construction with meticulous operation and maintenance can a cold storage truly realize its intended value.
