The second is the cost of refrigeration system equipment. This is the "heart" of the cold room, accounting for the bulk of the cost. Core equipment includes compressor units, condensers, evaporators (air coolers or aluminum fin coils), and expansion valves. Equipment selection is influenced by the cold room temperature requirements: compared to a 0-5°C fruit and vegetable fresh-keeping room, a -18°C freezer requires a more powerful unit, with costs typically 20%-40% higher. Meanwhile, there is also a clear gradient between domestic equipment and branded equipment (such as Bitzer and Copeland) in terms of price and energy efficiency.


The third is the cost of electrical and piping auxiliary materials. This part serves as the "nerves and blood vessels" ensuring the operation of the cold room. It mainly includes microcomputer intelligent temperature control boxes, wires and cables, refrigeration copper pipes, pipe insulation materials, in-room lighting, and drainage heating wires. Modern cold rooms are often equipped with IoT remote monitoring systems, which, although increasing initial costs, can effectively provide anomaly alerts and reduce long-term energy consumption.


The fourth is installation construction and other additional costs. Professional installation teams are responsible for cold room body assembly, pipeline welding and pressure holding, vacuuming and charging, and system commissioning. Labor costs typically account for about 20%-30% of the total equipment price. In addition, material transportation costs, site power capacity increase fees, and civil construction modification costs for special sites also need to be considered.
